Year 5 and Year 6 pupils from Preston Primary School in Torquay had a very early start on Monday 29th February, arriving at Westminster from Devon in mid-morning for a visit to Parliament. Some of the pupils also accompanied Kevin to No. 10 Downing Street where they presented a petition on shark fishing.
In addition to a tour of the Parliamentary Estate and a photo on the Members' Terrace of the House of Commons (see above), Kevin was subjected to a tough Q&A by the pupils about his role as the local Member of Parliament. Kevin is in no doubt that there were some budding young politicians within that group.
Kevin is always delighted to welcome local school parties to Westminster, or to visit local schools in his constituency.
