Local MP Kevin Foster was today granted a House of Commons debate on unfair private car parking charges.
Kevin has been inundated with complaints about the aggressive and unfair practices of car park firms at Crossways and Torquay Marina car park, and will use the debate to present evidence to a Government Minister of why reform to this industry is now needed.
It was clear from the amount of support Kevin received from MPs of all Parties that this is a widespread problem, and a number of other MPs have had constituents caught up in this when they visited the Bay as tourists.
The debate is scheduled for Tuesday 21 March at 9.30am. If you have been caught out by unfair private car park charges in Torbay, please contact Mr Foster in the meantime.
We will post a video of the debate after it takes place.
