Chats Organised for Small Business Saturday
Kevin Foster the Member of Parliament for Torbay is Proactively supporting Small Business Saturday on 5th December.
Kevin has organised informal café chats where people can come along and discuss policy issues or just meet their MP. Alongside this he will be joined by local ward Councillors Andy Lang at the Torquay venue and Barbara Cunningham at the Paignton one.
Dave Leaman, from Outset Finance will also be on hand to be able to advise businesses how to access the Government-backed Start Up loans for those trading within their first two years.
The café chats are happening at:
· Dots Pantry, Union Street, Torquay 1-2pm
· Hammonds Café, Winner Street, Paignton 2.30-3.30pm
So just turn up and say hello or seek advice.
Kevin Foster MP said: “Supporting Small Business Saturday is an important opportunity to promote the reasons why busy working families should take time out and remember that there are plenty of local businesses that can offer them what is available online or from out of area. The café chat approach is to keep things informal that ensure that I am approachable and accessible for those who may not normally contact or meet their MP. Please pop along. And we’re supporting locally run café’s in the process”
Dave Leaman said: “Having grown up in the Bay, I have always taken a keen interest in the fortunes of local businesses and am looking forward to hearing about their successes and challenges on Saturday. There is some great support out there if you know where to find it. I’ll be more than happy to chat to existing and prospective business owners and point them in the right direction.”
