Local MP Kevin Foster was in the House of Commons Chamber today as the Government spelt out further details of their plans to implement the outcome of the EU Referendum and negotiate for the UK to leave the EU.
Commenting on the Prime Minister's speech and the further Government announcements, Kevin said, "the overwhelming majority of people, however they voted, are saying we need to crack on and make Brexit happen. It is therefore very disappointing to see the Liberal Democrats, yet again, say that they want to ignore Britain's decision to leave the EU."
"We should have the confidence in ourselves to now go out to the wider world, secure trade deals, win contracts, generate wealth and create jobs."
"I am pleased the Prime Minister and the Government have set out further details of the Brexit plan, and they will have my full support."
