Local MP Kevin Foster today spoke in the Pension Triple Lock debate in Parliament.
He encouraged the Secretary of State to look closely at the take up of Pension Credit, and to explore innovative ways to help pensioners claim the support that they are entitled to. In addition to urging the Government to honour its 2019 Manifesto pledge on maintaining the Pension Triple Lock, Kevin plans to meet in person with the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt MP, later today to strongly argue this case.
The Government will be making its Autumn Statement on these matters on Thursday 17th November
