On Monday Kevin took the chance to raise the future for the Royal Navy and our amphibious capability as Defence Ministers answered questions from MPs.
The first question he asked focused on plans for a major new base for the Royal Marines in South Devon and sought confirmation this work was still going ahead, although its wording (as intended) allowed for wider points to be raised. The second opportunity came during an exchange on the National Security and Defence Review where he specifically highlighted the future of our amphibious capability. You can read his question and the Secretary of State’s response by clicking here.
