Hospitality and tourism make an invaluable contribution to our bay's economy, but it is clear high energy costs are hurting small and medium sized businesses in many other sectors and across the UK. These costs are set by contracts with energy suppliers.
The Treasury has commissioned a review by Ofgem, the energy regulator, into these non-domestic energy contracts. Treasury Ministers have agreed to meet Kevin and other concerned MPs to discuss the report – and it will be very helpful to take information from Torbay businesses to that meeting.
